RB Leipzig stayed on course to finish in the Bundesliga top four and earn a place in the Champions League next season after a late equaliser from left back Willi Orban earned them a 1-1 home draw with Hoffenheim.

The result left Leipzig fourth on 42 points from 23 games, one behind third-placed Borussia Moenchengladbach and four ahead of fifth-placed Wolfsburg.

Hoffenheim, who like Leipzig stretched their unbeaten league run to five games, stayed 8th with 34 points.

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has been handed an extra one-match Champions League ban by UEFA for deliberately picking up a booking against Ajax earlier this month. Ramos was shown a yellow card in the closing stages of Real's 2-1 victory in Amsterdam, which means he is suspended for the last-16 second leg at Santiago Bernabeu on March 5.
